BICH441: Biochemistry II

BICH441 is an upper level undergraduate course that is a required course for Biochemistry majors. BICH410 and BICH440 are prerequisites for attending this class.

Course Objective: The main objective of Biochemistry 441 is to provide a detailed understanding of cellular metabolism with emphasis on catabolic and anabolic pathways of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and nucleic acids.

Textbook: Principles of Biochemistry (5th edition) by Garrett & Grisham. Supplementary materials such as research articles, review papers and class notes will be uploaded on eCampus.

BICH689: Special Topics in Metabolism

BICH689 is a 1 credit modular course offered to the first-year graduate students admitted to the Biochemistry Graduate Program.

Course Objective: The main goal of the course is to provide detailed understanding of bioenergetics and mitochondrial intermediary metabolism.

Course Materials: The class notes, research papers and other course materials are provided by the instructor.
